I received the
coconut oil first thing this morning. Thank you for being so prompt in
delivering it. I love the smell and taste - had it on toast for
breakfast with local honey - delicious.
Before I knew about your
products, I purchased a jar from the local Asian shop just to try it
and, as you say in the information sheet, yours smells completely
different from the other product. In fact the Asian oil has a rancid
odour about it.
I am so glad I found your
website and the wonderful description comparing the pure and not so pure
difference in coconut oil.

In the Wopaa magazine Vol ¼,
I read with great interest the article by Dr. Bruce Fife ‘Coconut Oil –
A miracle Super Food’. With pen and paper in hand, I called the 0800
telephone number in the final part of the article and found out that the
small jar (230g) was £10.50. and the large 907g £24.95. Obviously the
large jar was the best buy but expensive.
Therefore I decided to do
some research to see what the other brands of coconut oil were available
in the UK. I found four brands and was able to buy 3 of them and also
found the small jar of Essence of Eden Coconut Oil at the High Health
Food Store in Henley. My eldest daughter was visiting me and we did a
test drive on all four brands. We toasted 4 slices of Cranks Organic
Wholemeal bread, one at a time and buttered each with a different
coconut oil.
We found that:
-
Biona organic coconut
oil (large jar of 400g £6.40) had a very strong coconut smell and
taste that for us was unpleasant.
- Omega Nutrition
Organic coconut oil, expeller pressed had no smell at all, nor
taste. The jar was £11.99 for 454g. The label stated that they had a
full flavoured virgin organic coconut oil. Being expeller pressed
counted against this oil for us.
- Tiana Organic Virgin
Coconut Oil (500ml jar for £13.90) said it was cold pressed. This
oil had a coconut fragrance and taste. We found it pleasant.
- Essence of Eden
(100% Organic Raw Virgin Coconut Oil - £24.95 for 907g jar. We found
it to have a creamy texture and light, fresh aroma that was superior
to the other brands we had tested. We just loved it! When we added
to this that Essence of Eden is produced by the centrifuge method,
(the coconut meat is spun and the very top oil siphoned off, this is
the Premium oil) retaining the highest level of nutrients possible,
we understood that Essence of Eden was the only oil for us.
- We have since found
that Essence of Eden Coconut Oil is economical because you only need
a small amount whatever you are using it for (it has so many uses in
the kitchen and bathroom) As my parents always told me you get what
you pay for!

My coconut oil experience
has been a fascinating journey all on its own. I had very bad acne,
which was extremely sore and painful. I started to apply the coconut oil
and take one small spoonful a day. After 2 days not only were the spots
less painful but the spread of acne down my neck started to disappear. I
no longer suffer from thrush or vaginitis as I find a topical
application on my partner before the deed does just the trick! (By the
way it’s a marvellous substitute for KY Jelly!) My overall candida
symptoms which have affected my digestive system for so long have more
or less disappeared and I no longer feel so tired! I manage to stay up
well after 8pm and get up the next morning! I use it as a deodorant, a
facial cleanser and moisturiser all over. I cook with it and now take it
by the spoonful only when I feel I need to. This oil has turned my life
around and I would recommend it to everyone. |

Thank you for getting in
touch. I think you will be interested in my experience of using coconut
oil. The doctor suggested I return for another thyroid test after 2
months (I was borderline and feeling really awful at the first test. How
dreadful do you have to be before they give you any help?!!). I used
coconut oil 3 times a day, every day, for the whole of that 2 months. I
also stopped eating soya products, which I used to take a lot,
especially soya milk. When I went for the re-test, I was "normal"! I
wasn't given a score at that time, as they only do this if you are
borderline apparently.
I felt very much better
all the time I used the oil; have started a full-time job and managed to
move house without any stress (I used to fall asleep at 10 o'clock in
the morning!) I now use it occasionally, especially if I'm feeling under
the weather, and it always raises my energy levels.
The book "Eat Fat, Look
thin" was very helpful in explaining thyroid issues. I don't believe I
lost any weight (I never weigh myself), but that wasn't my aim anyway. I
would recommend coconut oil to anyone with underactive thyroid symptoms.
My older brother will be on Thyroxine for life, he's been told, and my
younger brother often complains of all the symptoms I was experiencing,
so there is a strong family link; but I hope never to start taking
synthetic thyroxine . |

I had
suffered from the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome for many years
with constipation, bloating and wind and feeling lethargic and had
an absolute craving for anything sugary. After numerous visits to the
doctors and basically getting no help I was resolute to the fact that I
would never get better.
I made
regular visits to a therapist for Colonic irrigation, as at times it was
the best way to relieve the constipation. Whilst there I was telling
the therapist my health history and she suggested that I was
probably suffering from a yeast infection. Beforehand I had read an
article on coconut oil and started using it first as a body
moisturiser. But on doing further reading on this subject in Healthwise
magazine, an article mentioned that coconut oil kills the bacteria that
causes yeast. Well without delay I started taking Essence of Eden
Organic coconut oil orally and after a week taking 3 tbls daily my
sugar cravings diminished after another week or so (and up until now 5
months after first taking the oil) bloating is a thing of the past. I
hardly suffer from wind, the rashes that had been on my neck and thought
to be eczema, turned out to the yeast as the overgrowth was so much,
that it had no where to go as it had not been detected for such a long
time that it started to erupt on my skin. Well, that has started to
disappear! I walk everywhere and my energy levels have risen. I am
thrilled with the results, and very pleased that at long last I feel
much better.
